Health Benefits Of Masala Chai: Tea

Our original Chai blend contains Indian, Kenyan black teas which are considered super foods and come from a tea plant called Camellia sinensis.

Black Tea is rich in polyphenols, antioxidants that detoxify cell-damaging free radicals in the body. Tea has about eight to 10 times the polyphenols found in fruits and vegetables, according research.

Studies show that tea is very beneficial to our health, suggesting that regular tea drinkers, who drink two cups or more a day, have less heart disease and strokes, lower cholesterol and recover from heart attacks faster. There's also evidence that tea may help fight ovarian and breast cancers.  It also helps soothe stress and keep us relaxed.

The rooibos tea used in our rooibos chai comes from a shrub called Aspalathus linearis, grown on the coast of South Africa. aside from it tasting amazing, it is Low in Tannins and Free from Caffeine and Oxalic Acid and packed with antioxidants.
